Growing up, I helped and watched my father and others learn lines. In rehearsal rooms — watching an actor work through the gap between the words on the page and the truth underneath them. Emotion against language. What was being said against what was actually being felt. I didn't know it then, but I was learning the most useful thing I would ever know — how to listen to both at once. That skill, I've now finally learnt 25 years on to trust the most.

Twenty-five years across sector industries — not as a coach, but as someone inside those worlds, now recognising the wisdom in how they work, what they ask of people, what people carry quietly alongside everything else; and the people who quietly hold everything together. In every industry and at every level, even in just passing social conversations the same human experiences kept showing up, alongside my own.

People at a turning point. People ready to move. People sitting with something they hadn't yet found the words for. Different rooms, different contexts, different chapters, years of actual rooms — actual people, the same thread running through all of it.

I know those experiences because I have lived them. The many guises of actual burnout included. The actual turning points included. The process of making something purposeful from all of it — included. It is the inclusion of my own, and the people I have had the pleasure to sit with in the past, which is what informs my practice today — and is what made those frameworks living practice rather than just classroom knowledge.

The moments that stay with me are not the hardest ones or the most successful ones. It is the moment when someone decides to stop performing their life and starts building it — with real intention and a clear direction and goals.

The theory informed it. The life tested it.

Part of what I offer is the ability to name what is actually happening, ethically and clearly, without euphemism — and to point toward the right support, whether that is the work we do together, a referral to an accredited clinical practitioner, or both running alongside each other.

Credentials & Professional Framework

Sheona holds an ILM Level 5 qualification in Coaching and Mentoring, a Diploma in Business Administration, and is a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) and Association of Speakers Clubs (ASC). Her BACP training in Counselling Skills and Studies, alongside continuing professional development in mental health, confidence, and self-esteem, informs the psychological depth and literacy she brings to every engagement. Intentional Peer Support Core Training — a lived-experience-led framework — underpins her approach to human connection.

Her own lived experience — through personal therapy, coaching, and mentoring as a client — is not incidental to her practice. It is part of it and informs how she shows up for every person she works with. That combination means she can hold psychologically complex conversations safely and within professional scope. All work is conducted under regular professional supervision and continuing professional development.

If at any point it becomes clear that someone needs clinical or therapeutic support, Sheona will name that directly and help them get to the right place.

The scope of services at Time for U are broad. The amount of clients aren't. Sheona deliberately limits personal client intake. Not because of capacity — because of conviction. The work starts with the person. Always. Genuine presence cannot be distributed indefinitely.

This work is not always comfortable. It is always honest — and always pointed toward something better. Honesty opens the conversation. Commitment does the work. Direction is always the destination.Clarity first. Direction always.

A coaching and mentoring practice built around shared human experiences. The ILM Level 5 framework gives it structure and ethics — consistent with ILM Level 5 coaching and mentoring principles and the EMCC Global Competency Framework that informs all of Sheona's professional practice. BACP counselling skills training gives it psychological literacy — and the clarity to know when someone needs something beyond what coaching and mentoring can offer. The EMCC gives it professional boundaries. And the rooms give it everything else.

Purpose is the thread. The coaching and mentoring are the crafts. The direction is where you want to go.

Clarity first. Direction always. That is the promise behind every engagement at Time for U.

"The growth and development of people is the highest calling of leadership."Harvey Firestone

It Takes a Village

I have always believed that no single practitioner — however skilled, however present — can or should be everything to everyone at every stage of a life. The work at Time for U is part of something larger.

To see someone through the ebbs and flows of life — all its joy and heartbreak, and all that floats between — takes a village. A network of skilled, trusted people who each bring what they are best placed to bring, and who are honest enough to say clearly when someone needs something different. That is not a limitation of this practice. It is the conviction behind it.

Philosophy & Approach

Not fixing. Not rescuing.
Not instructing.

The work begins with listening — not to direct, but to understand. Your perspective first, always.

Time for U is not about fixing, rescuing, or instructing. It is about building the clarity, the confidence and the structure for grounded action to follow. We work from the conviction that every individual has the capacity to move forward purposefully. The work is to build the clarity where that capacity can be identified, tested, and acted on — without rush, without judgement, and without someone else's agenda.

Behaviours Make Sense

Our work is rooted in the understanding that behaviours make sense when we understand the patterns that shaped them. There is no judgement here — only curiosity and the willingness to look and achieve.

Growth Requires Clarity

Meaningful change requires understanding identity, patterns, emotional responses, relational dynamics, and internal and external narratives. From that understanding, sustainable growth becomes possible.

Purpose Is the Thread

Whatever brings someone to the door — purpose is always the connecting thread. Purpose is not the destination. It is the direction for reaching your goals.

The Bigger Picture

Empowering People,
Transforming Cultures,
Uplifting Communities.

Time for U is building toward something larger than a coaching and mentoring practice — a curated partner network, social impact initiatives, and community uplift projects rooted in purpose.

When you rise — they rise. We all rise.

All the work at Time for U begins from that place — one-to-one coaching and mentoring, purpose-led across every context, informed by recognised professional standards including ILM and EMCC Global Competency Framework, and real human experiences.
